This Mariachi Women’s Festival was a musical journey from Jarocho fandango to mariachi fiesta. This festival opened with Mexico’s female Jarocho ensemble Caña Dulce y Caña Brava. Las Alteñas, the finest all-female mariachi group in San Antonio, Texas, and the two-time Grammy Award-winning Mariachi Divas followed with mariachi renditions of songs from Veracruz, Mexico. Special Guests also included Jarocho musicians Libby and Cindy Harding.
