2nd International Mariachi Women’s Festival

The 2nd Annual International Mariachi Women’s Festival was held at the San Gabriel Mission Playhouse on March 21, 2015. The festival was held in honor of Linda Ronstadt for her contributions to the global appreciation of mariachi music. Los Angeles-based Mariachi Las Angelitas joined Mariachi Mariposas from Southern Texas to perform Ronstadt’s most popular mariachi songs. A highlight of the evening was New York’s innovative Mariachi Flor de Toloache that returned to the festival for the 2nd time. Since this concert, Mariachi Flor de Toloache has won a Latin Grammy and recently recorded with John Legend.
